QPhoton Networking Conference 2023

Register online by 23/6/2023 for the 2nd CZS Center QPhoton Networking Conference, which will take place in Ulm, 13-14/7/2023.

After the first networking event of the CZS Center QPhoton in December 2022 in Jena, the second joint two-day networking conference will take place in Ulm (preferably on site, in case of schedule conflicts also online). The conference will focus on quantum technologies, especially quantum imaging, quantum sensing and quantum computing. We want to openly discuss and identify topics for collaborations between individual groups within the CZS Center QPhoton community from all three universities of Jena, Stuttgart and Ulm for the next 4-5 years within our Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung Center QPhoton. The first three joint innovation projects from the first call will already start in April and June. The conference is therefore a good opportunity to exchange ideas for the next Call, which is projected to be published in June 2023.

If it fits thematically, we would like to encourage not only professors but also doctoral and post-doctoral students and master's students to participate. They are invited to present part of their work in the form of a lecture or a poster in order to promote exchange at the working level.

Online registration is closed.

Travel

The conference will take place in the research building N27 on the campus of the University of Ulm in the multimedia room 2059 (see map).

Arrival by train and tram

Ulm main station is located on the ICE route Stuttgart-Munich and can be reached by numerous long-distance trains.

For the route between Ulm main station and the university, we recommend tram line 2 with destination "Science Park II". This leaves directly in front of the main station and offers a direct connection to the "Botanischer Garten" stop (journey time approx. 8 min., approx. every 10 min.).

From the tram stop "Botanischer Garten" it is a 150 m walk to building N27. To get there, walk a few metres in the direction from which you came by tram. You will find the building with dark glazing on the right-hand side.

Arriving by car

Directions from the A8 motorway coming from Stuttgart or Munich:

  •  Leave the A8 at the Ulm West exit to join the B10 road in the direction of Ulm/Friedrichshafen.
  •  Leave the B10 at the second exit, following the signs for "Universität".
  •  After approx. 1 km, turn left into Albert-Einstein-Allee.
  •  After approx. 200 m, take the second exit at the roundabout (James-Franck-Ring).
  • The research building N27 is located after 200 m on the right-hand side (corner of Meyerhofstraße).

To find us using a navigation system, enter the following street name: James-Franck-Ring / Meyerhofstraße, 89081 Ulm (N27).

Parking is available along Albert-Einstein-Alle and in Helmholtzstraße. The car parks and parking garages on campus are usually subject to a fee.
